And yeah, the EP is awesome.
I don't care who you are, if you're performing music with other human beings and go by a word or words instead of a name or names, you are a band. If your name is Craig or Gabriel and you want to transcend your overall Craigness/Gabriosity by choosing a name like "Box of Blue Cubes," that is NOT your name. That is the name of your venture. "Lights" is a plural noun and Owl City is one of the cleanest urban meccas in our nation, not names of people. "Doves" is a plural noun and "Chicago" is one hell of a town, and they are both names of bands.
The more people to be mistaken like I was, the more the name will come to represent the performing ensemble. See also reverse methodology: Hootie and the Blowfish.
