WEAR YOUR MUSIC. OR WEAR JOHN'S.
Every time I get a chance to meet up with the JM crew on the road or in the studio, I ask Rene to set aside some of John's used guitar strings. This weekend in LA I got about 15 guitars worth (thanks Rene!).
Today we shipped those strings off to Mary and Hannah at the AZU studio, where they'll turn JM's used strings into bracelets for the Wear Your Music Store. Wear Your Music is a guitar string bracelet charity project where musicians can use their art to directly benefit their favorite causes. In John's case, 100% of the proceeds of his bracelets go to the "Back To You Fund".
You can design your guitar string bracelet to make it uniquely yours and even add an engraving.

The bracelets also come in a pretty neat case with a certificate of authenticity guaranteeing that the strings have been played on.

Personally, I think this is one of the coolest ways a fan can connect with their favorite artist. It's fun to think about what show or even what songs were played, on the strings that make up your bracelet. It's like carrying the music with you wherever you go. This time it's not just in your heart, but on your wrist too.
