I went down to the Crossroads...

I am so psyched that JM & Keith Urban are teaming up for CMT's Crossroads next week. SO psyched that I want some Nashville fans to be a part of the psyched-ness (is that a word? It is now.)

I only have a few tickets to give away for the taping, but I thought a cool way to choose the winners would be to ask you to send in a picture of you at YOUR crossroads.

Take a picture of yourself at the intersection of your favorite 2 streets in Nashville and e-mail it to teamjmcontests@gmail.com.

I'll choose the winners at random, and e-mail you Monday night to let you know you've won.

Have a good weekend, GO SAINTS!!!

Storytellers

Filming Storytellers for Vh1 in Brooklyn on Thursday night was a special treat for all of those who've been along for the ride the last 9+ years. I think one of the reasons John is so special as an artist, is his connection to his fans through not only his songs, but through his stories & live stage banter. These 'in-between-songs-sayings' are what connects fans not only to his music, but to him as a person.

After getting a peek at the set list before the taping, I thought about how some of my favorite John Mayer songs have a permanent story, intro or outro in my head because of live recordings. It makes me thankful for tapers who trek out to the shows, only to sit silent so that hundreds or thousands of people after them will get to enjoy the same concert. You truly capture John in his element, as the storyteller.

It's without a doubt that JM has brought together one of the coolest and most-invested communities of fans in music today. With that being said, we want to do everything we can to give back to you.

Tomorrow John will be taping an outdoor concert for Jimmy Kimmel in LA. Since us East Coasters' have gotten a lot of love over the last month, I want to make sure the west coast has some perks, too.

The first 50 people (who are able to make the taping in LA tomorrow, and are 16 or older) to e-mail me their dream setlist for the 2010 Battle Studies tour, will get in with a guest.

Release Day is here!

Between last night’s set at the Music Hall, and today being release day, we started calling this week “John Mayer Madness” in the office. Kind of like a Double Dare challenge, if you will. Tonight we’ll have you all going through the obstacle course before entering The Beacon (just kidding).

If you’re in NYC this week and maybe missed out on a chance to see last night’s show in Brooklyn or tonight’s set at on the Upper West Side… we’re going to offer you one more opportunity to see John perform!

This Thursday night, after JM tapes Letterman, we’re taking over the CBS Studio for a special intimate concert with the fans. We’ll kick out the regular audience and pack all of you in for a show starting at 8pm. Want to get in with a friend? Here’s what you have to do:

1. Save the Heartbreak Warfare Logo above, and make it your twitter icon.

2. Tweet “Battle Studies” is out and I want to see John Mayer on 11/19! http://bit.ly/battlestudiesLP #battlestudies

3. To get in, you and your guest must both be 18+ and have the ability to pick your tickets between 12-5pm on Thursday at the CBS Broadcast Center. Winners must arrive at the Ed Sullivan Theatre by 6:30pm for the set. Anyone under the age of 18 will NOT be allowed entrance.

4. If your twitter account is private, you will not be eligible.

We’ll contact winners via direct message from the @mickmgmt twitter account.

CBS Broadcast Center address: 524 West 57th St betweenn 10th and 11th Ave. Ticket holders must get tickets there and be at the Ed Sullivan Theatre by 6:30.
