sunday night funday night in orange county.07/29 by SC
July 27, 2008
Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Irvine Meadows
Irvine, CA
I'm sad that this is the first show I've seen this tour, but I couldn't be happier about what my definition of the 2008 Summer Tour is. Tonight's show was epic...the debut of
Taking on Water, an appearance by
The Hurt (thank you, democracy!), an acoustic
Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, and a metric ton of other goodness. I was absolutely blown away by our guys and happy to just be in the building. And by "in the building", I mean "outside of the building but in a close proximity to the stage", of course.
It was great to see all the folks I miss so much out there (and the folks I miss so much in LA but only see in places like Irvine, CA that are 90 or more minutes away).
I stole some photos from LT below...do yourself a favor and see one of these shows (as if you're here, reading this, and are purposefully staying home when the tour comes your way). Seriously, though, kids -- tonight was something really great.

For the folks living in a 50-mile-ish radius of New York City, we have the following...
Unisex T... more like Unisex-y.

Girls' tee that has been a long time coming...

summerchandise preview part 4 -- it's not really a "preview" if the movie is already out, huh?07/05 by SC
So this stuff is already out there. A few new things might pop up here and there, but I wanted to show you the rest of the staples...
A collaboration with
Loomstate - a completely organic, sustainable tee. Very limited...

We only made 587 of the shirts, each hangtag is hand-numbered.

Another colorup on the Trees-Heart tour tee - this one is showing up in a variety of different color combos.

You've Seen This Done Before &
Maybe You Thought It Was Cool &
Maybe Not &
Either Way I Couldn't Resist.

Girls' tank. Tank top, I should say -- probably gonna be a while before we start customizing Panzers. Printed on organic cotton.

Girls V-Neck - also printed on organic cotton. A little paintbrush-inspired design.

Destroyed tee - this one has been washed, grinded, and blasted -- super soft. There's also a slightly different Green version.

Tour poster. It's a big one (20x30 - I'll let all you Stonehenge fans figure out the appropriate units). The tour program is also out there, it's 28 pages of photo-filled goodness.

We also have the Incase AKOG tote bags that debuted on MCC and some cool "Where The Light Is" bumper stickers (one version glows in the dark, Kanye would be proud). I've got some other stuff lined up before August ends, I'll keep you well-informed.
Hope everyone is enjoying the Independence Day weekend...

I heard a lot of really cool things regarding the music selection in the play, so I present my first-ever iMix for your review:
The Diving Normal Soundtrack.
summerchandise preview part 3 aka i need to purchase an iron (and i'm not talking pitching wedges)07/02 by SC
Below is 85% of the reason this page has been quiet for the past 6 weeks -- lots of time spent prepping for this week: new site, new album, new tour, new merch and ice. I have another round of shots (of merch) coming for you tomorrow, just in time for the big opening night in Milwaukee My Dog Around The Block! Hope you dig some of this stuff...
What we in the biz call a "Tour Shirt".

Another option of the aforementioned "Tour Shirt" variety.

Like a refund, check out the back (doesn't quite work, does it?)

Worth more than anything else around your neck on the road:

Flower print.

Vintage burn-out tee with flocked artwork (meaning it "feals reel naaaas").

"Where The Light Is" tee with foil print.

Another soft one, with the JM Anchor logo flocked on the front (this one also has a cool flocked hit on the back).

And possibly my favorite item this summer - our lightweight zip hoodies. These feel great...I know it's summer, but when the sun goes down or the calendar turns to October, there's nothing else you'd rather have. Promise.

Wrinkles unfortunately not included.
