LOS ANGELES SERIGRAPHS BY HOUSE INDUSTRIES
I do love LA.![]()
Andy and the guys at House Industries have done it again (click here for more on the design/production end), but went above and beyond for our show tomorrow night at Staples Center. I don't think it's West Coast bias when I say this is the most knockout thing we've done so far.
UPS aka Brown Santa Claus dropped off two 40-lb. packages at my door and I couldn't reach for the box cutter quick enough...

I opened the first to find the paperstock versions. We talked about channeling a west coat classic rock vibe while keeping with the metallics and fiery accents. The results are nothing short of killer:

The posters measure 24" x 18", hand-screened, and hand-numbered from 300 total pieces. The sparkle and pop blow my mind. David Dodde again handled these with white gloves and supplied the greatest quote:
"I used a pound of copper to make that ink."
Yessir. Pound of copper, liquefied, inked, and hand-screened onto these posters.
We also ran a handful of wood-panel versions that are greatness personified. There will be no more than 25 of these available at the show (30 were made in all). I've got one leaning against a bookcase and keep glancing over to make sure it's real.

The Lakers wish they had this much swagger at Staples.
