The Big Board

When it comes to plotting and planning, I gotta put pen on paper. I'm a big fan of sketchbooks, to-do lists on resume stock (shoutout @YourBoyKJ) (aside: I used Chinet paper plates for lists in college - try it, you'll like it...what's cooler than rolling around with your schedule written on a paper plate??), and post-its. Inspired by the late great Blake Snyder and his genius book on screenwriting, Save The Cat, I built a Big Board last September for the Battle Studies merch rollout.

While not all-encompassing of what actually made it to the shows, The Big Board was a great 12-square-foot reminder to keep my ass in gear. It also surprisingly helped visualize our assortment (WOOP WOOP WOOP! Industry Talk!). Who knew 50 post-its could give so much love?

With two phases (album release shows and Trio shows) done and the Winter Arena tour well underway, it's time to take this baby down and get geared up for the rest of 2010.
