THROWBACK!

5 years. FIVE YEARS?? John was saying he found a bunch of old hard drives and found some pretty classic stuff from the early days. I was inspired to do the same and found this little gem, written exactly half a decade ago from Memphis, TN, at the start of our co-bill run with OAR. This was actually the second entry of 7/24/01 the first was my so-detailed-it's-almost-embarrassing review of Celebrity. What a fun, fun, fun time. Just three kids in a van tryin' to make it legal you know how it is. Anyway, enjoy, and if I can find anything that's actually interesting or well-written, I'll throw it atcha.

Memphis is alright with me. Cool little area of the country. I went to Graceland today -- it's one of those things that has to be done. But all the tourguides are so impatient. It's worse than the US Post Office in Athens, GA.

Tonight's show went off. I could be wrong, but I think we played to a bunch of new ears. And I'm not just saying that to be corny. Shucks, they could be stalkers and make us call the cobs.

Enough. An action-packed set this evening showcased many tracks from the compact disc entitled "Room For Squares." Also performed was a well-done rendition of Jimi Hendrix's Wind Cries Mary segued into an instrumental version of the Bob Marley favorite No Woman No Cry. The guys were having a grand time.

So people think I'm Richard from O.A.R. We Asians must look all alike to you non-Orientals. I see how it is. Well, you better count your chickens, cause our numbers are growing, and the East will rise again!

Off to dela's hometown tomorrow morning - Nawlins and the French 15 Minutes past the hour.

oh, ohoh, you're my cover girl
