YSF: WEEK 2.
Last week with YSF, we got into the beginnings of storytelling - outlining a few basic elements and constructing some stories. We did an exercise that showed how easy it is to create a story. In the exercise, the writers split their page into quadrants and listed three Loves, Hates, Wants, and Fears in each respective corner. They then could combine those characteristics and have the start of a pretty sweet little story.
I decided to dig out the Flux Capacitor and do the exercise as my 5th grade self. Shoutout to Mrs. Zell and Goodyear Elementary.

Looks like it's time to write a screenplay about a math-loving kid who wants to break the rules but has to play catch with mean girls at day camp otherwise he won't be able to decipher the subliminal directions in Huey Lewis' "Hip To Be Square" that will lead him to the Honus Wagner baseball card.
Can't wait to see what goes down tomorrow!
